Thermometer for iOS

Last updated: 14 May 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how the Thermometer iOS app ("the app", "we") handles your information. We've designed the app to collect as little as possible and to keep the data that is collected useful only for delivering features you can see.

1. Information we access on your device

2. Analytics

We use Google Firebase Analytics to understand how the app is used in aggregate (e.g. which tabs are opened, how often weather refreshes). The data is anonymous and includes no personally identifiable information. You can opt out via iOS Settings โ†’ Privacy & Security โ†’ Tracking.

See Google's Firebase Privacy & Security page.

3. Configuration & notifications

We use Firebase Remote Config to toggle features and ad units server-side without shipping a new build. Only feature-flag values are fetched โ€” no personal information is transmitted.

We use Firebase Cloud Messaging for optional push notifications. If you allow notifications, your device receives a token; we do not link it to any personal account.

4. Advertising

The app shows ads served by Google AdMob. AdMob may use identifiers and limited data (such as your IDFA when permitted by iOS, and your approximate location) to serve more relevant ads. See:

iOS asks you for permission before the app accesses tracking identifiers. You can change this at any time in Settings โ†’ Privacy & Security โ†’ Tracking.

5. Data we do not collect

6. Children

The app is suitable for general audiences and does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can delete it.

7. Changes to this policy

If we materially change how the app handles data, we will update this page and bump the "Last updated" date above.

8. Contact
